Extremity Blood Pressure and Venous Reflux Studies

These are simple non-invasive diagnostic procedures that use conventional arterial and venous waveforms and pressures to evaluate vascular disease.

Blood pressures in the legs may be measured after gentle exercise to further evaluate the severity of the arterial condition.

The waveforms are detected by a Doppler ultrasound device, or special light sensors are used (photoplethysmography).
